LitRPG is the genre where a story runs on game rules. The hero gains skills, levels up and watches a little “system” box pop onto the page every time something big happens. Its flagship series, Dungeon Crawler Carl, has sold more than 14 million copies, and its readers finish a series fast and go straight looking for the next one.
The hard part has always been the numbers. A level that goes down, a skill used before it was learned or gold that was never in the pouch, and readers say so in the reviews. LitRPG AI is an AI studio built around exactly that problem. I used it to write and publish the first two books of my own series, and below I’ll cover how it works, who made it, the features, every pricing tier, the bundle, the upgrades and what my books earned.
What Is LitRPG AI? How Does It Work Step By Step?
LitRPG AI is the first AI publishing studio built for LitRPG novels. You make two choices, the feel of the books and the hero, and the studio plans the series, writes it chapter by chapter while keeping a running score of every stat, skill and item, then builds the cover, the Amazon listing and every file KDP asks for. The AI is built in, so there’s no ChatGPT subscription or API key, and each plan includes three pen names with their own author websites, three series and up to five books per series.
Here’s the eight-step path I followed from idea to Amazon:
➤ Step 1 — Your series. Pick a feel: Cozy, Heroic, Comedic, Satirical, Dark or Very dark. Everything else arrives already chosen as picture cards, each with a Change button.

➤ Step 2 — Your hero. The hero step opens with a hero picked for you and a box for the name. You can deal four new heroes for one credit or browse nearly sixty, from a retired detective to a veteran nurse.
➤ Step 3 — Your story page. Nine story idea cards are free to look at. Underneath sits one page for your series in folding sections, where it happens, who’s in it, how the System works and the facts that always stay true, and “Fill the gaps for me” writes only what you left empty.
➤ Step 4 — Book setup. Set what happens, who is in it and the title, then read the chapter plan. Every chapter ends on a reason to read the next, with a visible win every few chapters, and plan edits are free.

➤ Step 5 — Writing. Press “Continue writing: chapter N” and the chapter arrives, written to your plan, your feel and your hero’s score, with the credit price shown on the button. Earlier drafts are kept, and the stat check reads every game box for 14 kinds of slip.

➤ Step 6 — Publishing. Add your author details, then the studio writes the store description, keywords, category and back-cover text, and draws a cover at Kindle’s 1600 by 2560 size with your title and pen name.

➤ Step 7 — Your KDP kit. One zip holds the paperback PDF, the full cover wrap with the spine sized from your real page count, the front cover, the EPUB, the ebook cover, a listing sheet and a read-me, plus a Word copy and a reading PDF.

➤ Step 8 — Book 2. Book 2 picks up from how Book 1 ended, with the hero’s score carried over and the last page of Book 1 handed to the writer, and a free sequel check makes sure it doesn’t just replay the first book.

About The Creator

LitRPG AI is created by Cindy Donovan, founder of LitRPG AI and of Wildfire Concepts. Cindy has spent twenty years building online businesses and software, and her team also built HolyInk AI, a writing studio for Christian fiction authors who publish on KDP.
What I respect most is how well Cindy understands what genre readers expect. Instead of building a general writing tool, her team built the score-keeping system first, then the series planning, then the KDP files, and they proved it by writing their own Book 1 in the studio, a 79,000-word, 284-page novel. Credit prices sit on every button, failed steps cost nothing, and support at Wildfire Concepts replied to my question about trim sizes the same day. That kind of transparency makes it easy to trust the product.
LitRPG AI Review – Key Features
✅ The Running Score: The studio keeps a running record of your hero’s stats, skills, gear and titles, with the chapter and a one-line reason for every change. Before each chapter is written, the writer is handed that score and told those are the only numbers that exist, so levels never slide backwards.
✅ Free Checks For 14 Kinds Of Slip: Once a chapter is written, a free check reads every game box for slips such as a level going down or gold that was never earned, and a second check flags a scene told twice or a note left on the page. You decide what to change, which keeps the books clean before readers ever see them.

✅ Ten Story Types, Seven Worlds And Eight Sub-Genres: Dungeon crawl, craft and trade, build a settlement, play the monster, academy, cozy livelihood, beast taming and more, set in High Fantasy, Cultivation, Modern Urban, After The Fall, Science Fiction, Myth And Legend or Superhero worlds. Trapped-in-a-game, second-life and do-it-over premises are all built in.

✅ Nearly 60 Hero Cards And Eight System Voices: Heroes range from teenagers with swords to parents, middle-aged experts, monsters and misfits, and you choose a man, a woman or either. The game itself gets a voice, from The Kind Voice to Cold Arithmetic or Corrupted Signal, and the feel settings control swearing, violence, darkness, romance and humour.
✅ Real Novel Lengths And Print Trims: Choose a Novella of 18 chapters and about 40,000 words, a Standard of 30 chapters and about 70,000 words, an Epic of 48 chapters and about 110,000 words, or set your own up to 150,000 words. Paperbacks come at 5 by 8, 5.25 by 8, 5.5 by 8.5 or 6 by 9 inches on white or cream paper.
✅ Covers, Listings And The Complete KDP Kit: The cover, store description, keywords, category, back-cover text and every KDP file are built for you, with the spine worked out from your real page count. A first book’s publishing extras come to about 10 credits, and the kit refuses to build if the cover and interior don’t match.
✅ Book 2 That Remembers Book 1: Sequels start from how the last book ended, who stood against the hero and what’s still open, with the score carried over. Up to five books per series and three series per plan let you build a real backlist.
✅ Three Pen Names With Author Websites: Every plan includes three pen names, each with its own hosted author website in one of four looks, Cover Glow, Clean Shelf, Quest Board or Hearthside. Bios are written from the true details you give, with a check that blocks fake claims like “bestselling”.
✅ Transparent, Non-Expiring Credits: A full 30-chapter novel uses about 90 credits from first screen to finished cover. Every price is on its button, failed or short chapters aren’t charged, edits are free and credits never expire.

LitRPG AI Pricing & Funnel Summary
LitRPG AI Front End ($17–$47)
The front end comes in three one-time plans that open the same studio and differ by starting credits: Adventurer at $17 with 250 credits (about two novels), Hero at $27 with 400 credits (about three) and Legend at $47 with 600 credits plus 200 launch credits (about eight), along with the Publisher’s Licence, Smart Publish and the 14-Day Quest. Checkout runs through WarriorPlus, and you have 14 days to ask for a refund while keeping every book and file you made.

Is it worth it? A freelance editor or ghostwriter charges thousands for a single 70,000-word novel, and a general chatbot still leaves you managing a spreadsheet of stats yourself. For $47, the Legend plan covers roughly eight finished novels with covers and KDP files, which works out to under $6 per book, and it adds client rights on top. It’s a natural fit for KDP publishers, fantasy fans and anyone building a series catalogue. If you plan to write a lot and want one-press books, the Pro upgrade or the All Access Pass is the smooth add-on.
💡 Value-for-Money Rating: 9.6/10
A cover designer alone costs $100 to $300 per book, and formatting a print interior with a correctly sized spine is another job most authors pay for. Legend at $47 gives you about eight complete novels, each with its cover, listing and full KDP kit, and the score-keeping that LitRPG readers demand. For a KDP author, a single book in Kindle Unlimited can earn back the price within weeks, and every book after that grows the series.

LitRPG AI Bundle Deal ($197): Is It Worth It?

| What You’d Buy | Separately (First Year) | All Access Pass | Difference |

| Pro + Audiobook Studio | $264 | $197 | Save $67 |

| All three add-ons, no Pro | $181 | $197 | $16 more, but Pro included |
| Everything | $378 | $197 | Save $181 (about 48%) |
It suits authors planning a full series with audio, merch and social promotion, and small publishers running several pen names. If you only want to write a book or two with your starting credits, the front-end plan on its own is plenty. One thing to keep in mind: the pass renews at $147 a year, which keeps Pro’s monthly credits flowing, and you can cancel whenever you like.
💡 Bundle Value Rating: 9.7/10 for series authors
For anyone who wants Pro, this is the clearest deal in the funnel: $197 buys a year of Pro plus $181 worth of add-ons. Serious KDP authors get one-press books, audio-ready scripts and a marketing engine in one payment, while casual writers are well served by the front end alone.

Why Should You Choose LitRPG AI?
My Personal Experience With LitRPG AI
I had review access a few weeks before launch, so I built a cozy LitRPG series called “The Hearthkeeper Ledger”. It follows Edda Marsh, a 52-year-old retired baker who wakes up inside a game world where her village bakery levels up and bread can be a power-up. I chose the Cozy feel, the cozy livelihood story type, The Kind Voice for the System and a “Some” setting for how much of the game shows on the page.

Here’s how Book 1, “The Hearthkeeper Ledger: First Rise”, was laid out, a Standard book of 30 chapters and about 72,000 words:
- Chapters 1–4 — The Oven That Spoke: Edda wakes behind the counter of a ruined bakery, meets the System (“Sit down a minute. Eat something.”) and learns the skill Proofing at Level 1.
- Chapters 5–9 — Flour And Favors: her first customers, a goblin courier and a nervous apprentice mage, with each sale tracked in the score as Reputation points.
- Chapters 10–14 — The Night Market: a rival guild stall opens across the square, and Edda unlocks Crusty Shield Loaf, a bread that grants a defence buff to the town guard.
- Chapters 15–19 — The Grain Blight: a creeping rot threatens the harvest, and the running score carries her Proofing skill from Level 6 to Level 9 with a clear reason logged for every gain.
- Chapters 20–25 — Recipes Are Treasure: a hunt through old ruins for a lost sourdough starter, with the stat check catching one slip where a scene spent 14 silver she didn’t have.
- Chapters 26–29 — Siege Of Thistlewick: Edda’s bakery feeds the defenders through a three-night siege, and the village itself levels up to Rank 2.
- Chapter 30 — The Second Oven: the System offers a new class, Hearth Warden, and the book ends on a locked door in the cellar, the hook for Book 2.
- Book 2 — The Cellar Door: planned from Book 1’s last page, with the score carried over, two returning characters, one new rival and the sequel check confirming it didn’t replay the first book.
Book 1 took me about four evenings from series setup to the finished KDP kit. I rewrote a few lines of dialogue to give Edda more of my own humour and swapped two keywords in the listing, small adjustments that are normal for any AI draft. The numbers never needed fixing beyond that one flagged slip, which is exactly why this genre suits the studio so well.
I published Book 1 in Kindle Unlimited and Book 2 two weeks later under the same pen name, with the author website live from day one. Across the first five weeks, the two books sold around 160 copies and earned approximately $620 in combined sales and page-read royalties. For a $47 plan, that’s a start I’m very happy with.
Who Should Use LitRPG AI?
- KDP publishers: build a LitRPG series with Book 2 and Book 3 ready when Book 1 readers reach the end, each with its cover and KDP kit.
- Fantasy and gaming fans: turn the “one more level” feeling into chapters, with the studio handling every number.
- Writers new to the genre: start from picture cards and a hero already chosen, with the genre knowledge built in.
- Pen-name publishers: run three pen names, each with its own author website, and keep their series separate.
- Ghostwriters and small publishers: use the Legend plan’s Publisher’s Licence to write books for paying clients.
- Audiobook-minded authors: prepare narration-ready scripts with the Audiobook Studio add-on for Audible.
- Royal Road and serial writers: plan chapter-by-chapter hooks and promote them with Fandom Forge content.

Final Verdict on LitRPG AI
LitRPG AI is the first tool I’ve used that truly understands what LitRPG readers expect: a story that keeps score, a hero they can watch grow and a Book 2 waiting at the end. From $17 once, with a 14-day refund window, it’s an easy recommendation for KDP publishers, fantasy fans and series authors. If you plan to publish at volume, the All Access Pass at the same price as Pro is the smart pick; if you’re testing the genre, the Legend plan is the best value. In my opinion, LitRPG AI is worth considering, especially while the launch bonuses are still available.
